Supporting the nursing mother and her family

"Dear Friends,

We are sorry to share with you that effective immediately Nursing Mothers Network will no longer be holding monthly support group meetings or staffing a telephone helpline. For several years the counselors of Nursing Mothers Network have observed a steep decline in both meeting attendance and calls on our warmline. We have also struggled to find enough volunteers to pursue counselor training. NMN had hoped that our move to the Riddle Hospital trailer and our partnership with Lactation Consultant Kay Hoover would have rejuvenated the group but after several months at our new location the situation has not changed. As a result Nursing Mothers Network has decided that the organization will dissolve.

******Please note that if you have already been working with a counselor on a personal basis, that relationship will still continue."""""" The counselors of NMN have been honored to support breastfeeding mothers for well over a decade. We would like to thank all of the moms who have called our warmline, attended a meeting, or offered monetary donations to the organization over the years. For those of you interested in attending support group meetings, please see the below options. La Leche League in Media and Nursing Mothers Alliance also staff a warmline in addition to holding support group meetings.
